Scout
We found out we were having Scout right before Christmas 2020. The doctors had told us to not have anymore kids after two placenta abruptions. She was a surprise, but we were hopeful things would be different this time. I had a lot of anxiety this time around, we tried progesterone shots, anything that could help keep her in longer then the last 2 pregnancies.
Around 24 weeks I started to feel the same way I did with the other two. I went to the hospital a few times and was admitted at 25 weeks once I started to bleed. I was in the MOM Unit for a few days. On June 1st things took a turn for the worst and we were sent to the OR for an emergency C-Section. She was born at 27 weeks 0 days weighting 2lbs 4 oz. She did not come out making a peep. Those were the scariest 10 minutes of my life. She is a fighter though, and surprisingly had the most uneventful NICU stay out of all three of our stays. She thrived and we took her home August 12th.
Scout is the best “surprise” we could ever ask for. She is a thriving 3 year old with the biggest personality. She makes us laugh all day. She loves Barbies, her stuffies, her dogs, her siblings, cousins and friends! She loves school and loves to learn! We are so proud of her!!
