The mission of Today is a Good Day is to provide hope and build community through personal and financial support for families who experience the NICU.
​
Today is a Good Day partners with hospitals to provide compassionate, family-centered support that compliments the exceptional medical care delivered in the NICU. Through Care Packages, peer support, financial assistance, one-on-one guidance from our NICU Family Advocates, and more, we help ease the emotional and practical burdens families face so they can focus on their baby(ies). By supporting parents and caregivers, we also help NICU staff devote more time to clinical care, strengthening the overall experience for families and the care team alike.

We partner with care teams to address critical unmet needs while connecting families with community resources that support the long-term well-being of the entire family. Working closely with care management, we help identify health-related social needs and ensure they are met through our network of over 150 trusted community partners.

Preemie shirts by Magnetic Me, embroidered with the Today is a Good Day logo, given to families when their baby reaches the milestone of wearing clothes for the first time.

BREASTMILK COOLERS
A cooler and ice pack help breastfeeding caregivers safely transport breast milk to and from the hospital to feed their babies.

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT & CHILD LOSS RESOURCES
Bereavement packages are provided to families after a loss and include a journal, One Day at a Time bracelet, tissues, a loss resource card, and a knitted sun from a fellow loss family—reminding parents they are not alone.

THANKSGIVING MEALS
Thanksgiving meals are delivered to hospitals for families spending the holiday in the NICU with their babies.
