Wall of Hope

A Place to Read, Share, and Lift One Another

The NICU journey can feel overwhelming, but no one walks it alone. Our Wall of Hope is a growing collection of messages, photos, and stories from those who have experienced the NICU firsthand  - parents, grandparents, siblings, friends, and family members who understand the strength it takes, and the hope you need to get you through.

Each note is shared with one purpose: to bring comfort, courage, and hope to families who are currently navigating the NICU journey.

If you’ve been part of the NICU community, we invite you to leave a quick note and, if you’d like, a photo. Your words - no matter how simple - could be exactly what someone needs to read today.

Take a moment to read, share, and to remind a family that brighter days are ahead.

Congratulations! This moment may not be what you envisioned it, but the better days will come. August and Avery went from weighing less than 4 pounds together and struggling for months in the NICU to becoming our now silly, healthy 4-year-olds. The NICU is scary; what comes after is beautiful!

One day you will look back and realize how strong your children (and you!) were from day 1 of this journey. You’ve got this! Sending hope and love from our 26 and 33 weekers.

Brookie was 31w5d when she made her grand arrival! Our 2lb 15oz CHAOS QUEEN is now 2 & a half years old going on 13. The NICU taught us how to fight, persevere, and find the joy in every day. The NICU taught Brookie how to overcome every challenge with her sass & strength. She is small but strong!

It’s been 4 years since Will has been home from his 11 month hospital stay. He had a 1% chance of survival. Today he is a super smart nearly 5 year old. Revel in every good day and leave the bad ones behind you. Every milestone is a big deal!

There’s a saying that life won’t give you more than you can handle and right now it may seem like more than you can bear, but you will get through it! You’ll discover a strength you didn’t know existed! One day you’ll look back and be amazed at what you went through and overcame!

Having navigated the NICU three times, we want you to know we see you, you're not alone. Make friends with the nurses, they truly love your baby. And know the NICU stay won't last forever.

Our 31, 30, and 29 weekers are now nine, four, and two and absolutely thriving in their own ways.

Congratulations! Take each day “One Day at a Time” & celebrate each victory. It can be hard but have faith in your medical team & know that these babies are so much stronger & resilient than we think. Keep fighting for them, advocating for them & know that wonderful things can come from this!!

Congratulations!
One quote that always got me through the tough times at the NICU was "You never know how strong you are, until being strong is your only choice". You got this. Be brave. Be strong. "You can do the impossible because you've been through the unimaginable"

I’ll always be grateful for the lifelong friends we made because of our NICU journey. I know how exhausting and uncertain things feel now but there is beauty in the journey.

Congratulations! This may not look like the experience you dreamed of for your family, but it is an experience that will show you how strong all of you are. Celebrate the milestones and truly take one day at a time. You got this!

After having 2 NICU baby boys 13 years apart there were so many memories, emotions & feelings it all felt like a DejaVu! The main thing to never lose is FAITH! Every day is a challenge, but it takes a village whether its staff at the hospital, a friend, family, partner & siblings we are all we got!

Congratulations! I know this is not how you imagined your birth experience, but this is part of a story filled with fierce love. Your strength is greater than you know. Hold onto hope and celebrate the small victories. You are not alone, and you are doing a great job!

Having a child in the NICU can be SO hard, but you can do hard things! It may seem to never end, but this, too, will pass. It is just one chapter of the book!

The best things come in the littlest packages. These fierce, mighty babies grow up to be the strongest, most determined & amazing people. Each day is a gift so celebrate every milestone both big and small!

It is okay to grieve the parenthood and birth you were expecting. Just remember that you are living and thriving in a unique experience that no one else gets to and you're doing amazing!

Congratulations! The road ahead may feel uncertain, but you and your baby are stronger than you know. Take it one day at a time, celebrate every small step and know you are not alone!

Congratulations; I know this is not how you imagined your birth. You will learn you have strength you didn't think possible and you will get through this chapter one day at a time. In the meantime, remember you are not alone as you navigate the days, weeks, or months ahead.

Congratulations! Something that comforted me during our NICU time was when a nurse told me: “you will remember this, but your baby won’t.” Just love them hard, advocate for them, and in the words of Bluey, “You have to be the bravest you've ever been.” 🩷
