Baylor

Right after his sister Briar (28 weeker) turned 1 we found out we were expecting again! My doctors believed an infection caused my placenta to abrupt with his sister so they were not overly concerned it would happen again. We were still closely monitored during the pregnancy.

Everything was going smoothly until around 30 weeks. I started to have the same type of cramps and I went to the hospital. I ended up in the hospital with this issue three times. The third time I was admitted at 32 weeks. Baylor came later that night after I started to gush blood due to my placenta abrupting.

He was born on February 5th 2019, weighing 5lbs 6 oz at 32 weeks and 5 days. Baylor spent 6 weeks in the NICU at Abington Hospital. We were back with our NICU family. His stay was typical, he had to learn how to breathe on his own, eat on his own and regulate his temperature. He graduated the NICU on March 8, 2019.

He is now 6 years old and thriving. He loves Ninja Turtles, playing sports, being with his friends and family and going to school! We are so proud of Baylor and how far he has come!
