Gideon Luke was born at 23 weeks and 1 day in March 2020 at the height of the Coronavirus lockdown. Measuring at only 1lb 5oz and 12 1/2 inches, his name means Warrior of Light. Our Little Warrior conquered the odds of severe prematurity day after day in the NICU. As parents we had to endure strict health regulations during the pandemic that further challenged our family. Gideon made it through many hills and valleys of the NICU including surgeries, bilateral brain bleeds, various procedures, continuous therapy and more. We give praise to God who saved our son's life and we are forever grateful to all the medical professionals, therapists, family, friends and his faithful prayer warriors who supported us followed his story for the 133 days of NICU stay and beyond. Today is a Good Day as we are in awe of how far he has come. Currently Gideon is discharged from ALL therapy and he is a thriving boy that we always dreamed he would be.
