At 27 weeks, we went to the hospital because my wife Katrina had the flu. While there, Emmy's heart rate was dipping, so we were admitted. After the scariest three days of our lives, at 6:54 am on March 6, 2025, Emmy girl was born. She weighed 2 lbs 5 oz and was 15 inches long at birth. She was taken directly to the NICU, but we weren't able to visit her for 4 days since we still had the flu. Emmy was just letting us know early that she will do things on her terms.
